Resume:

1.- Bilel Jamoussi is the head of host country standardization at the TSB of the UIT.

2.- Focus groups offer an open platform for members and non-members to incubate new standardization subjects.

3.- Last year, a focus group on AI applications in healthcare was launched in collaboration with WHO.

4.- There is a lack of doctors in developing countries, so AI tools on phones for disease diagnosis could greatly help.

5.- Algorithms for AI tools need to be verified and validated through a platform with annotated medical data collections.

6.- The focus group aims to promote quality use of AI in healthcare through global participation of doctors and technicians.
